The Living Word of God

…..Alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart, Hebrews 4:12; Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action). 2 Timothy 3: 16; a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119: 105; so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it, Isaiah 55;11.

You could probably fill numerous pages on what the Word of God is.  But as you become more familiar with the Bible you will plainly see that the words that are written on those pages are as relevant for us today as they were ages ago and as they will be many years from now.  As the Word goes out, it will NEVER fail to achieve what God desires.

Among those Living Words of God are the many Words of Promise that are so comforting in this current age that we live in.  Especially for those that realize they are sinners and put their trust in Jesus as their Savior.  The Bible clearly states that all of us are sinners in need of repentance and forgiveness, which is only through Jesus Christ.   When we truly repent, the promise is that, He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.  And will remember them no more.

What makes this process so difficult for the human mind to understand is the fact that God’s love for us is unfailing.  No matter what we do, His love for us is unfailing!  We don’t always deserve it, appreciate it or even give it a second thought, but He loves us anyway, unfailingly.

Some of the many Bible verses that STILL speak to us today;

  • “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

  •  I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.

  • But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.

  • If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

  • The free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come fearlessly into God’s presence, assured of His glad welcome.

  • Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

  • I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.

  • And this is what he promises us--even eternal life.

  •  I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

  • No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.

  • "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus".

  • That all things work together for good to those who love and serve Him faithfully.

  • Then you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free... So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

  • Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has gone the new has come!

  • God's gifts and His call are irrevocable.

  • For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

We haven’t even scratched the surface of the comforting words that God has for those that Love Him and keep His commandments.  (There isn’t a person alive that can keep the commandments)  That is where the Grace of God, because of His unfailing Love for us, extends His Mercy and forgiveness to those who seek Him.
