This world we live in is certainly full of troubles.  I believe that most news businesses would cease to exist if there was not any bad news to report.  If you consider the beginning of time you see that the Garden of Eden was created in perfection.  There were no weeds, disease, crime, deadly animals, or any adverse conditions.  All was picture perfect and according to the Holy God who created it, it was good.  But we all know that there was a fall and mankind was kicked out of that perfect place, so here we are in this world full of all kinds of troubles; weeds, crime, disease, bad politicians,  and isis.

The very best way to ride the turbulent waves of this life’s troubles is to surrender to the One who can give us inner peace.  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, John 14:27.  It is not this worldly fleeting peace that we sometimes have when we think things are OK.  It’s an inner peace that comes from knowing He is in charge.

How do we read those words and firmly believe that all is fine?  It all comes down to faith.  What is faith?  Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.  Bible hope carries NO doubt.  Hope is a foundation for our lives when we believe God’s Word.  Hope is a reality.  There is confident assurance when we read that we have eternal life when we place our trust in Jesus Christ.   So says John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  So when you believe in Jesus you can have confident assurance and the Hope of your eternal Salvation.

Faith in the many promises in the Bible can give us an inner peace that will rule in our hearts, And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.  When you have this inner peace you can also enjoy the hope and assurance that, Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.  No longer a slave to sin but an heir to the Kingdom!  Now if Bible hope carries NO doubt, it is humbling to know you are an heir to the Kingdom, joint heir with Jesus!  The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs––heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

So, How can we build our faith more?  Romans 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  We need to have a regular feeding of the Word!  We need some scheduled time each (day, week).   Most people hesitate to start reading because they don’t know where.   An easy way to begin is to read one of the four Gospels.  Most people say to start with John.  Another easy way to start is to try a reading plan.  The YouVersion Bible App for tablets and smart phones has hundreds to choose from.  There are many ways to start and they all lead to an eternal destination.
