God's Remedy for Fallen Man

When you think about what has been laid out, and what has already been revealed for mankind, you begin to realize why the Bible is such an interesting book.  A compelling Book that tells the story of man’s existence from the beginning of time to the end of time, as we know it.  But to go beyond the end of time, to eternity and beyond, that is where we see God’s remedy working.

Without a remedy, sinful man would not be able to go beyond this life.  But before the foundations of the earth, God already had a plan in place.  "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End" Rev. 22:13.  In Genesis 3:14, God forewarned the snake, satan, after Adam and Eve took a bite of the apple, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel."  This is the warning to satan that even though he will bruise Jesus, he will ultimately be crushed and defeated.

Sinful man can be forever thankful that God’s plan was for Jesus to come to save us.  Our sinful nature was/is our dilemma; sin separated us from a Holy God.  Throughout the Old Testament, there was always a required sacrifice for man’s sin.  The animal sacrifices though were only temporary.  God had the plan of Him coming in human flesh, as a baby in a manger, Jesus, to be the sacrifice for all sins, past, present and future, for those who put their trust in Him!  For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost, Luke 19:10.

There are many verses in the New Testament from Jesus Himself that state His mission.  Mark 2:17, When Jesus heard this, he told them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor--sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners."  Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15.  Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26.  "Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on Me hath everlasting life." John 6:47.

The New Testament has many more verses that will confirm that Jesus is the only way, the true sacrifice for any that will repent and turn from their sins.  He came to save sinners.  “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” John 14:6.  And we can thank God for His patients; The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9.  I am eternally thankful that He was patient with me, I was absent for many, many years.
