Seek Forgiveness or Suffer Whats Due You

God is Holy and Just.  He can’t let any sin come into His Eternal home.  All men are sinners.  We have an unsolvable problem.  Unsolvable from our human thinking.  Thank God His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.  Thank God that He had a plan to redeem us before the foundations of the world.

All that is required of us sinners is to sincerely repent and turn from our evil ways and it is written in His Word that He will forgive us our transgressions and will remember them no more!  We sure do serve an awesome God.    But, Psalm 7:12, If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow.  As the saying goes, Turn or Burn.  Zechariah 1:3, Turn unto me saith the Lord, and I will turn unto you.

The plan of God to save mankind is the Good News of the Gospel.  To know that we are all born into sin right out of the womb is a downer but when you hear of God’s salvation plan that is His free gift to us sinners, it is Good News.  Knowing that His forgiveness is much greater than our sins is hard to believe, but it is written in His Word, 1 John 1:9, But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.  All is a mighty inclusive word, ALL wickedness.

Now I can understand why the Gospels are called the Good News.  Jesus gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us and to make us His very own people.   In most Churches today you hear mainly about the Good News of the Gospels.  That feel-good preaching that people prefer to hear.  No one wants to listen to a sermon that speaks directly about their sins and the consequences of sin.  But it is a great disservice to the sinner if they don’t understand where their sins will lead them.  It is a pastor’s responsibility to talk about the entire Bible, the not so pleasant sermons as well as the feel-good sermons.

Movies have made the death bed repentance something that many sinners wait for.  But it has been suggested by a well-known preacher that everyone should repent at least one day before he dies, and since you could die tomorrow, let him take heed to turn from his evil ways to-day.  Although, immediate repentance is what God expects, for we are never promised an hour more than we have right now.

Many still believe that a loving God will not send people to hell.  The Bible is very clear on this, He will.  The people that He sends there are people that have shown throughout their lives that they don’t have an interest in God, that they don’t have time for God, that they don’t believe in God.  So God won’t force them to go to Heaven to spend time with Him there.  "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; he that believeth not shall be damned."  But, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved;"
