No, this is not a story similar to “Chicken Little” who was shouting “the sky is falling” when he thought the world was coming to an end, when an acorn fell on his head. No, this is the current version where the signs of the times are pointing to “The Beginning of the End”.

This Pandemic that we are currently going through could be shaping up as the icing on the last cake. Currently there is severe draught in Asia and Africa, along with locusts in Africa. The melting ice caps are causing seasonal temperature changes which are causing enormous forest fires that will undoubtedly get worse with the climate change. With our current situation of everything closed for five to six weeks it is causing devastating losses for farmers and screwing up the food chain. Food plants are going down and farmers are plowing food back into the ground!   Hunger, famines, fires; the birth pains are getting closer and closer.  Matthew 24:8, There will be famines and earthquakes here and there. 8 All this is just the start of the birthpangs.

The hope of this world is not politics, government, science, education, or work. The only hope for this world is the return of Jesus Christ. Do you realize that the moment when Jesus returns, it will not matter what is done, what is due, or what is planned. It won’t matter.

The only thing that will matter is which resurrection you are in! (it is a choice that you make now, not when you see Jesus coming.) For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16). "This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years" (Revelation 20:5b-6).

There will be a thousand years between the first and second resurrections. Then the 2nd resurrection; "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done." This group will include those who are unbelievers who will be assigned by judgment to the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15).

Therefore, the first resurrection is for the people of God; the second resurrection is for the judgment of unbelievers. The difference between these two groups is based on one's relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is essential for every person to hear the good news and be saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) to receive eternal life (John 3:16).

So, although you are maxed with stress in your job, you also need to be sure that you are part of that 1st resurrection. And that is something you can be sure of if you are in Christ. You need to be grounded in what the Bible says so that you will not be deceived by false teachings. Those who do not receive Jesus Christ as Lord in this day and age and are alive at the time of the Great Tribulation will believe the lies of the antichrist.
