Always Be Thankful

This special time of year as we near Thanksgiving is a perfect time to reflect and count the blessings in our lives.  It is very easy to come up with the very obvious ones of course, family, friends, good health, and good jobs.  But many people take for granted the many blessings that are poured out on them every day by the God that loves them.

Our Thanksgiving truly begins when we acknowledge that God sent His only Son to lead us to salvation.  It states in the Bible that God chose us BEFORE the creation of the world! Ephesians 1:4.  Even though mankind is rotten to the core He still sent His Son to die so that we could spend eternity with Him.

That’s just the beginning!  While we are living in this sinful world, if we are one of His children, He will send His Angels to watch over us and protect us.  If God is for you, who can stand against you?  His love is unconditional and it never stops.  Romans 8:39 No power on earth or heaven can separate us from God's love. Not our sin, not any authority, not any spiritual force.  His love for us will trump any sin in our lives if we surrender ourselves to that love.

So beyond Thanksgiving Day dinner, always remember to give thanks to your Heavenly Father each and every day,   1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.  Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

He is the only reason your heart continues to beat every day, He is the only one who will draw a sinner to Him so that He can change them from the inside out, He is the one who has written a letter to all of us with His Promises that He is waiting to fulfill for each of us, He is the only one that knows every star by name as well as how many hairs you have on your head, He is the only one that knows the beginning and the end of every person and situation in existence, He is the only one who deserves you daily Thanks and praise.

Psalm 107:1 "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."
