Straight From God

As a Christian we believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God.  And, it states in His word that God cannot lie, Hebrews 6:18.  So from this we can read in the eighth Chapter of Romans, two verses that deliver hope and strengthens Faith.

The opening verse 1, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. And the closing verse, 39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

To sum that up, There is absolutely nothing that can separate you from God’s Love, and there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus.   (Christ is in believers by His Holy Spirit, and believers are in Christ by faith.)  No Condemnation!

In between the first verse and the last verse though are some other promises that you can find.  When you are in Christ you no longer live according to the sinful nature of man.  Verse 8 tells us that those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.  Going on thru verses 14-17 you will find that when you are led by the Spirit you are sons of God.  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if we are children of God we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.  That will boggle anybody’s mind to be an heir of God.

The key to these promises as well as the many other promises of God, is to be in Christ Jesus.  The only way you can be in Christ Jesus is to commit your life to Him.  Allow the Holy Spirit to work a change in you from the inside-out.  He will lead us to repentance, into the Truth, into Love, into holiness and into the will God has for our lives in Christ.

Verse 28 is God’s enduring promise of help for His children, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God.  And verse 31 confirms the promise, If God be for us, who can be against us?
