Chapter 19 puts us almost to the completion of Revelation, (22 Chapters), with a better understanding of what to expect as we also come close to the completion of this world’s history.  There are numerous warnings in the Bible that tell us what will be taking place as we near the end times.  World events, world disasters, lawlessness, are they more evident today than ten years ago?  Are they happening more frequently?  It’s all spelled out for us between the covers of the instruction book that God gave us; we just need to read the instructions.

Chapter 19 begins with the triumphant Praises to God for His justice and righteousness in condemning and disposing of sin and the power of Satan.  The scene moves next to The Marriage Supper of the Lamb: The announcement is made, “The marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.” Here Christ receives His kingdom, which is called “His Bride” (Revelation 21:9), and is symbolized by the New Jerusalem.  The bride of Christ is known as either the New Jerusalem or the Church, the Church being the people of God, all believers are the Church of Christ.

Starting in verse 11 we see Jesus in His 2nd coming, And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.  Now all the kings of the earth have been sadly and greatly deceived into thinking that they could triumph over the 2nd coming of Christ, the rider of the white horse.  Satan has selfishly deceived them into thinking their armies of millions could prevail, knowing that victory was not possible.  It says in the Bible that Satan knows the Bible very well, so he knows who will win this battle.  He only wants to keep as many people as he can from going to heaven.

This is also the time when the beast and the false prophet both are cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.  These aren’t two people, they are two systems.  Many believe that the beast is Papal Rome and the false prophet is any and all false religion.  So this will be the end of their false systems that have misled many church people over the years. 

​

Jesus is coming to earth to conquer His enemies and to establish the Kingdom of God on earth.  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  The sword from His mouth depicts judgment through His spoken Word; the Bible says that it is so sharp that it can divide the soul and spirit.  As He smites the nations: Christ will destroy all unbelievers.

And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.  As all the armies are killed by the power of the spoken Words an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond, both small and great.  All the buzzards and vultures have been summed to come to feast on the kings.  So, the bottom line is that Satan has deceived many into becoming food for the buzzards.  If only people would read their Bible it clearly shows how the story ends!
