Daniel, Chapter 12

In 2 Timothy 3:16 we read that the Bible was God-breathed, inspired by God.  The words that the Prophets spoke and wrote were given them by the Holy Spirit, directly from God.  So once we wrap our minds around that we can accept that the Bible is the Living Words of God to us.

How else could a book that was put together with writings that spanned 1,500 years, be so relevant today?  ……..It is relevant today because in the Book God makes the statement that, my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it, Isaiah 55:11.  As messed up as the world is today, we can be assured that His Word has not accomplished all that He wants yet.  That is why the Book keeps on living.  It still has much to tell us.

We just completed the Book of Daniel in our weekly Bible study, and the last chapter refers to the end of this messed up world.  The Angel Michael told Daniel that there would be a time of trouble like never before.  Think of all the worlds’ trouble over the years, how devastating some of them were.  Well the Angel is saying that in the end times those devastations will be far greater.  (The trumpets, seals, and bowls of Revelation all described the horrific conditions of the world in general during this end time.)  But, there is good news, And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book.  If our names are found in the Book of Life, God’s wrath will not harm us.

The Book of Revelation promises the same thing, 3:10, "Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.  So there is a precious Promise for all to accept, persevere!  When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, Galatians 3:26.  Because He promised that, if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness, 1 John 1:9.  God is faithful and all that He has written to us we can believe and take personal.  John 10:28, I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

But it all comes by Faith, Titus 1:2, a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time.  We must put our Faith in the one who knows  "the end from the beginning ... things that are not yet done"We can trust our past mistakes to the mercy of God, our present to His unfailing love, and the future to His precious promises.  Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
