In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven't strayed away!  Luke 15:7 

 

What an awesome thought, that no matter how bad or how long a person has been away from God, when they return, all the Angels in Heaven will rejoice over that single person that wants to come back.  That shows how much God wants every person to repent and return to Him.

 

So no one is lost who wants to be found.  There are plenty of lost who don’t know they are lost, but they are being searched for.  Luke 15:4 "If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?  The Holy Spirit is searching for every lost soul so that there can be joy in Heaven when He wins the battle and carries that lost one back. 

 

The Prodigal Son parable tells the story of God’s Love and forgiveness for all that have strayed away from Him.  That person who was drawn to the glamorous, sinful lifestyle that this world offers.  But when they fall on bad times and are in deep despair they are being nudged a bit by the Holy Spirit to come back.   As the story goes he thought that if he could just come back and be a slave in his father house he would be better off than the state he was in.  BUT, while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.  And there was more joy in heaven for this one that was lost but now is found.

 

God is waiting for EVERY sinner to repent and return, 2 Peter 3:9, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  And for each one that obeys the convicting of the Holy Spirit and repents, there will be more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven't strayed away!

 

And knowing then that you have caused joy in heaven you will live with confidence with Romans 8:1, So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus
